Barbara Deyo
Owner / Make-Up Artist / Eyebrow Expert

Barbara Deyo is a veteran of the industry, being recognized by Allure, BRIDES Magazines and CBS as “Best of the Best” in the country for her talents. After her return to Detroit from Los Angeles, Barbara launched Boldface Makeup studio, then expanded to open and co-own Touch Spa – both in Birmingham, MI – gaining many local and national honors. She opened Deyo Studio in 2009, and her resume, accolades and reputation have continued to grow. Her work has been published in Redbook, Rolling Stone, People, Seventeen, Ambassador, HOUR Magazine and more. She has worked with countless celebrities, such as President Barack Obama, Sir Paul McCartney, Bob Seger, Kerry Washington and Kid Rock. During her many years in television both in LA and Detroit, she worked for NBC, UPN, CBS, FOX, TNT and BET, doing makeup for local and national broadcasts. Her loyal clientele spans the globe, and travel to her whenever possible, just to have their eyebrows done!

Jeanette Frost is a professional makeup artist with over 14 years of experience. She has developed a strong set of skills that have allowed her to explore a range of styles in the art form. Jeanette specializes in makeup for HD-TV, commercials, film and print. She is well versed in makeup for fashion, beauty, bridal parties and special events. Having worked with an array of ethnicities Jeanette understands the factors involved with diverse skin tones. Her work has been published in American Salon, Dark Beauty, HOT By Hair’s How, Hour Detroit, Launch Pad, Peluquerias Inernational (Spain), The Metropolitan d’Etroit, Visit Detroit. Jeanette brings her love of the industry and caring energy with her each day, adding another inviting personality to our Studio.

Nicolena is a dedicated massage therapist whose focus is on the overall well-being of her clients. Since gaining her certification in 2006, she has gained professional experience performing massage in day spas, chiropractic offices and rehabilitation centers. She assesses the individual needs of her clients and works toward improving their flexibility, stress reduction and overall wellness. She encourages clients to use massage as an intro into a healthier lifestyle and believes that massage is not a luxury, but a necessary component of stress management and healthy physical condition.

Beauty has always been a meaningful aspect in Nicole’s life. Working in the beauty industry for over 15 years, she discovered more than outer beauty is important. This lead her to adopt a new natural beauty philosophy which focuses on healing within. It is her mission to help people align with the natural healing forces inside of them.  She thrives on educating herself and others about Chinese medicine, Reiki Energy, and holistic skincare. Nicole is constantly searching for new and better ways of living a conscious lifestyle. Her focus is living from the heart, each and every day. She has a magical way of making people feel at ease, nurtured and rejuvenated. She believes in the power of beauty and the transformation it creates. Other interests are Kundalini yoga and clay portrait sculpting. It is her mission to make the world a better place through Beauty, Art and Love.
