To help give you peace of mind, we want to remind you that we are a tiny little private studio, with lots of square footage ratio per client – and have always upheld the highest of standards in our space – sanitizing all tools, and our hands with hospital grade disinfectant, utilizing UV sterilization, disinfecting countertops, and other surfaces. Business as usual in our book! With this crisis however, we have added sanitizing doorknobs, handrails, seating, and any other touched surfaces before and after EVERY. SINGLE. CLIENT. We have always operated on an appointment basis and will continue to do so in order to minimize any cross contact with others.
For even further peace of mind…Deyo Studio is a licensed body art facility with the Oakland County Health Department and the State of Michigan and is required to uphold the highest of sanitation standards, and have always passed our bi-annual inspections with flying colors. We are repeatedly told what a pleasure it is to come into our facility because of how CLEAN it is.
Protocols moving forward for the time being:
Please wait in your car until your appointment time to come in to help prevent overlap of clients and lessen exposure opportunities. We will contact you if we are NOT ready for you at your appointment time. Please leave as many personal belongings as possible in your car.
We have placed a touch-free hand sanitizer at the bottom of the stairs, and ask that you sanitize your hands upon entry. We will be wearing masks, and ask that you please wear one yourself – if you do not have one, we will provide one for you. We will be doing touchless temperature checks if deemed necessary.
We have placed 4 HEPA air purifiers around the studio and in treatment rooms for extra measure, and of course we will be washing hands, sanitizing tools and surfaces – just like always – before and after every client! We have purchased 2 additional UV sterilizers for tweezers, scissors, razors and other non-disposable tools, as well as cell phones, keys, etc. – and will have one at the front desk for you to put small personal items such as phone and keys in for sterilization.
We have replaced the hand soap in the restroom with a touchless dispenser, as well as placed other hand sanitizers and facial tissue throughout the studio for your safely and convenience.
We ask that you refrain from touching retail without sanitizing hands first, again, just as an extra safety measure. Applicable client intake forms are available online (vs. paper forms) and ask that you fill them out prior to your appointment and email to barbara@deyostudio.com We will let you know if paperwork is required for your service at the time of booking.
Check out procedures will be changed slightly, as we have always had touchless credit card transactions with the exception of turning the iPad screen around to select gratuity options. Moving forward, we will be asking if you would like to add anything additional to eliminate any contact . We encourage credit card transactions, however will still take cash /checks and will provide you with an envelope to place it in to be opened later.
We can not stress enough the importance of rescheduling your appointment if you feel ill, have been ill, or exposed to someone who has been ill. We have taken great measure to limit our exposures over the last 3 months, so let’s not take any unnecessary chances moving forward.
We will of course waive any cancellations fees based on illness.
Thank you so much for sticking with us. We look forward to supporting each other during these challenging times, and of course can’t wait to see you!
